George Whitaker is well known in the broadcast industry as a writer for Radio Guide, Radio World, Nuts 'n' Volts, and Radio Ink. He was chief engineer of several Dallas area radio stations for a number of years before his retirement from radio in 2001. He is the author of several books on broadcasting.
Following his retirement from radio, Mr. Whitaker received training as an EMT and paramedic. He continued his schooling and received his certification to be an activity director in nursing homes. He still does considerable volunteer work at area nursing homes.
In 1990 Mr. Whitaker began making mike flags in his garage as a hobby. Most of the equipment was homemade. Today, PRC owns its own shop building with thousands of dollars in professional equipment. We manufacture our own CDs but farm out the book printing.
